About us

HTTPie is building tools for developers and rethinking the human-to API relationship from first principles. As creators of well-loved open-source terminal-based HTTP testing utilities, it's a mission to make APIs simple & intuitive with an emphasis on CLIs (command-line interfaces) to reach more people who never used web browsers before but still needs to accessorize their apps using third party libraries like ReactJS or Angular 2+. They've already raised a $6M Seed round lead by Coatue; now they're hiring engineers!

What you'll do

We're looking for a remote Frontend Engineer who are passionate about APIs and want to build products that will help API developers.

You'll design features with a focus on simplicity and top-notch user experience while taking operational responsibility for the parts that you develop.

You'll deliver performant, testable, and maintainable code

Maintaining high quality is essential for the longevity of your product.

You'll be joining our team of smart, dedicated engineers in designing an easy-to-use web interface so consumers like yourself can access the information on their profile easily from anywhere at any time!

You will be in charge of your destiny while doing so A lot is at stake, and you can have a great time.

Tech Stack

  • AWS, PostgreSQL, Redis
  • Vercel, GitHub, Linear, Slack, Notion, Figma
  • TypeScript, React, Next.js, TailwindCSS, Electron

As a remote Frontend Engineer You'll be a great addition to the team if you have

  • You need to have a solid understanding of HTTP and modern APIs, as well as some coding skills. You'll also want basic knowledge in testing automation techniques such as JavaScript unit tests or SinonJS
  • It's important to know how much capacity you need for your software environment. A robust solution will work well in most cases, but there are some instances where a minimalist approach is more appropriate or desirable; like when developing multiple features at once and not wanting anything getting in the way of development progress because they're too busy moving forward with ideas no matter what happens behind them on screen!
  • You need to be able not only to communicate clearly and concisely in writing but also eager for the opportunity of learning.
  • It takes a lot of passion to get into this field, but when you do it can be amazing. The best part? You don't need any technical experience because the design has its own set rules for entry-level positions!
  • You should be able to grasp these concepts if you want your app idea translated into reality!
  • The best React developers are in demand! If you're qualified, let's talk about your skills. You'll need five years' experience as a software engineer and some knowledge on single-page application development with the popular framework; this will give us an insight into what kind of developer could grow here at our organization - if only for their own devices.

Bonus points

  • If you are someone who has experience with building distributed systems, AWS ecosystems and has an idea for your product then this job listing might be perfect.
  • A technology company in need of knowledgeable engineers is looking to hire experienced professionals interested or developing their products as well!
  • You must have experience with TypeScript, Next.js, and Vercel to be considered for this position. You will also need a background in web development using Node or Python languages like Rust or Go as well!
